First Grade played in our first 1st Grade final vs Northern District at Waitara Oval on Easter Saturday. Unfortunately, we were sent in on a wet pitch and were bowled out for 154. NDs then replied with 7/384 dec, with former Australian Test great Neil Harvey scoring 136 and former NSW player Neil Marks making 125. We were then dismissed for 203 in our second innings on Easter Monday.

Steve Smith scored 103no in the second innings of the Sheffield Shield Final vs Western Australia at Manuka Oval. The match was drawn and NSW won the Sheffield Shield, with Steve as captain.

Sutherland won the 3rd Grade premiership by defeating Manly-Warringah at Tonkin Oval after day two was washed out. The team was captained by Greg Fitzgerald.

Sutherland won the 4th Grade premiership by defeating Waverley at Hurstville Oval. The team was captained by Dominic Watson.

Nic Maddinson & Matthew Hughston put on 285 for the 2nd wicket in the 1st Grade semi-final vs Eastern Suburbs at Glenn McGrath Oval – the then highest partnership for any wicket in all grades for the club.

Sutherland won the 3rd Grade premiership after the final was completely washed out. The team finished as minor premiers (the crucial win being the famous 34 vs 30 win on 27.2.99) and so they were declared Premiers. The team that played in the semi-final was Gavin Kenny (capt), Mathew Duff, Luke Fleming, Callum Hockey, Glen Hoffman, Matthew Lumb, Alex Mann, Darrell Mann, Scott Manning, Tim Moreland, Andrew Northridge.

Sutherland won the 3rd, 4th & 5th Grade premierships to complete our greatest season, having previously won the AW Green Shield premiership (shared with Gordon) and the Club Championship.
3rd Grade defeated Hawkesbury at Caringbah Oval having finished as undefeated minor premiers with 100 points from 14 rounds (4 outright wins & 10 first innings wins). The team was captained by Barry Davison.

4th Grade defeated Campbelltown-Camden at Tonkin Oval. The team was captained by Tom Iceton.

5th Grade defeated Randwick at Coogee Oval. The team was captained by Mick Jones.

Steve Smith hit the winning runs as Australia won the 2015 World Cup vs New Zealand at the MCG (finishing on 56no). Shane Watson was the other not out batsman as Australia won by 6 wickets.

Sutherland won the 2nd, 3rd & 4th Grade premierships in only its third year in the grade cricket competition, having previously won the Club Championship for the first time. All three finals were won outright.
2nd Grade defeated Western Suburbs at Pratten Park. The team was captained by Grant Le Huray.

3rd Grade defeated St.George at Sutherland Oval. The team was captained by Bryan Hazell.

4th Grade defeated Bankstown-Canterbury at Bankstown Oval. The team was captained by Ken Hatherly.

Sutherland won the 5th Grade premiership by defeating University of NSW at Glenn McGrath Oval. The team was captained by Nathan Whittingham, who also won the James Rodgers Medal for player of the match.
