Sutherland 188 off 50 overs (Kobey Freer 69, Matthew Fitzgerald 37, Marcus Jewell 30) lost to Parramatta 8/189 off 49.4 overs (Jack Logan 3-25, Tom Levell 2-11, Ted Waterman 2-38).
We lost a thriller at Merrylands yesterday afternoon, with Parramatta scoring the winning runs 8 wickets down and with 4 balls to spare. It has been a fine series by our AWG boys, reaching the semi-finals for the first time since 2013-14. While the end yesterday was devastating for them, they should nevertheless be very proud of their achievements. Congratulations to all members of the squad and coach Jake Wilson. We are also grateful for the efforts of team manager Craig Freer for all his behind the scenes work.
