Australian Under 17 Championships Summary - Thu 11 Jan

The Australian Under 17 Championships were played in the Ballarat area over the last week. Sutherland players involved were:

NSW Metropolitan – Kobey Freer (captain)

NSW Country – Kasey Barton (AWG 23-24), Blake Mackrell (AWG 22-23), Ted Waterman (AWG 22-23)

NSW Country won the final today, defeating Western Australia. Blake Mackrell won the Bowler of the Tournament, finishing with 17 wickets at 9.35, and he was named in the Team of the Tournament. The next best bowlers took 11 wickets.
