Earlier this week, the NSW Chief Health Officer announced new restrictions for community sports for the next six weeks. Following this, Cricket NSW has issued a statement that reads in part:
“At this point in time Cricket NSW recommends to all community competitions, associations and clubs that there be a pause on all non-professional cricket activity that brings people from different regions together, including training and playing, in order that the guidelines of NSW Health be followed. This pause is to be effective immediately and remain in place as long as the advice from NSW Health remains.”
As a result, all SDCC training on Saturday and Tuesday is cancelled. We will decide how we proceed from there at a Committee Meeting on Thursday next week. The final AWG trial scheduled for this Sunday is postponed to a date to be determined.
