NSW Premier Cricket has announced the players selected in the 2024/25 AW Green Shield Merit XII (Team of the Year).
The AW Green Shield, renowned as the world’s premier junior club competition, has been a launchpad for many of NSW and Australian cricket’s finest players, including the likes of Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Sean Abbott, Sam Konstas, Ollie and Joel Davies.
The selection criteria for the AW Green Shield Team of the Year are based strictly on statistics from the preliminary rounds. The team comprises the top six batsmen, the top five bowlers, and the leading wicketkeeper in the competition. Ties are separated by superior average while the wicket keeper is separated by most runs. Each of these outstanding players will receive a commemorative cap in recognition of their remarkable achievements and selection to the team.
